The Zoom Q3HD does not have proprietary software like some offerings, but instead saves video in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format.
Apart from that, you can also opt for the integrated HDMI port to view and share new footage on an HDTV. There is also a built-in USB 2.0 cable to transfer, view and edit movies on a PC or Mac.
